Did Jesus exist? Many Mythicists will claim that there is no evidence for the historical Jesus.
That is simply false. They may reject the evidence that exists but that is a far cry from evidence not existing.
Biblical Archaeology Review has a nice article on this question. The author acknowledges that some reject the Christian evidence, quoting John P. Meier, “The implication is that the Biblical evidence for Jesus is biased because it is encased in a theological text written by committed believers.”
I happen to think that there is no reason to reject such evidence since it is from biased believers. That is like rejecting the existence of Socrates because Plato and Xenophon were biased followers.
But acknowledging these views of Christian evidence, Lawrence Mykytiuk provides a helpful summary of the non-Christian evidence. You can read the article here.
