If there are some who doubt that Jesus was a historical figure, there are more that doubt that Moses was a historical figure. But why?
In an episode of the Biblical World podcast, Mark Janzen and Chris McKinny discuss Moses and the exodus. There are plenty of interesting things in their conversation.
One of the things they discuss is the question of whether Moses was real. As I listened to their conversation, I was reminded of some of the same concerns that people have about Jesus.
I think that their comments are of value for those thinking about how we determine the historicity of Jesus. I should note that we have far better and contemporary evidence for Jesus than for Moses.
